The Tribute…

Fashion, Music, Art, & Much More

Ebony x Ivory

The 2011 year began with less than average releases of studio albums. That is until now. Eminem and Royce Da 5’9 dropped their long awaited EP, Hell: The Sequel, on June 14, 2011. An album with 2 primary artist doesn’t always deliver the way it does as of the artist are separated, but this particular one pleases your ears. I’ve listened to it straight through without skipping one song. I advise you to buy it on iTunes as soon as possible. Support great music.

  1. While the lyricism certainly surpasses most mainstream hip-hop releases this year, I found that the beat selection was a bit inconsistent. The production values simply didn’t match the lyrical effort that both artists put forth, and as a result, I found the listening experience to be too schizophrenic for my tastes. Still a good listen, but they’ve got me wanting them to release a full-length album to see if they can improve upon some of the shortcomings of this EP.

    • I could not agree more when it comes to the beats compared to the lyrical effort. I also would love for a full-length album to be released by the duo. Thank you for your valued opinion.
